We met Davincii in 2019 at Akash studio in New Jersey . We were all chilling and talking about what sound he is into at the moment. He then proceeded to educate us on Flex Dance Music. Naturally, we had to make a track together. He hit us with the flex at the end of the session.

Flex dance music, or FDM, is a largely instrumental form of dancehall originating from Brooklyn. It is named after the dance style called flexing which evolved from the Jamaican dance called bruk up.

In the late 1990s, pioneers of FDM began to experiment with the sound. Their DJ mixes, intended to accompany flex dancing, were dancehall riddims layered with turntablist and video game sound effects. FDM uses chopped vocal samples, pounding kicks, 808 instruments, and laser-like sound effects.
